How do educators keep current with the ever changing world of technology? How can Web 2.0 tools be used to communicate and collaborate? This session will focus on some tools that teachers are using to support their own professional learning goals while integrating into the classroom. Presenter share experiences and tips for using social media such as Twitter, Nings, Wikis, Skype and Glogster and more to engage students and teachers in a Personal Learning Network.

Collaborative Internet tools allow educators tog create online communities that support professional learning and relieve isolation. This session explores a variety of Web 2.0 tools and their use in the classroom. Presenter shares experiences and tips for using social media such as Twitter, Skype, PBWiki, Ning, and Glogster with a focus on delivering professional development to teachers. Participants should already be actively using Web 2.0 tools in their personal or professional life and be interested in learning how to grow a Web 2.0 community or tap into existing communities for their staff or school. |
